Snazzing Up

I got a hair cut! Bangs and layers (as opposed to my old, perfectly aligned hair)!! Yes, I love it. I just colored it a deeper, darker brown, too. The color is supposed to come out in 28 shampoos though. We'll see. Now, now, now... presents! I originally wanted to wrap presents in newspaper comic pages, but I forgot to pick those up (since I don't get a newspaper at my house..... I have the internet for news, afterall!) so I used magazines instead. Snazziness. Click the picca for LARGENESS. Happy Christmas Eve.

Diverge

Ahh! My first shot at a vector-type art. This picca of me is like from three years ago. :) Anyway, I accidentally saved this in the wrong way, and the resolution got a bit messed up, but I guess it's okay anyway. Enjoyyyyyy.

Do You Fly?

Taken when the plane to Philly was close to landing (I'm sure a couple of you will remember). I made this bizznasty in photoshop. I did freehand the "do you fly?" writing. So I'm pretty pimpin' like that. <3

There are so many things that can fly in this world, and even though we can't, other things {like dreams, parachutes, and planes} can always carry us.

As If Falling Through a Dream

Nothing really seems real when you fall, does it?

Florence Broadhurst

I'm definitely adding this to my Netflix list.

Last Christmas (except not the song)

Last Christmas I painted this picca. It all came from my imagination, so I wasn't inspired by anything (except the beauty of this planet). Anyway, I painted it as a present for someone. 11x14, acrylic on canvas. And, of course the picture has glare and whatnot from the camera, so it's not exactly how it looks, but pretty darn close. :)

Winter on the Train

I drew this about 2 months ago. It's my first charcoal drawing. I forgot where I found my stock image, but what can I do? :)
Enjoy!

It Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing

It's much harder to draw than it looks.

Can you hear the noise?

YES! I adore these. I can totally imagine the noise from the city & that party! The first picca I discovered on photobucket. The 1 of the teenagers I found on the Urban Outfitters blog, & the picca was taken by a photographer named Jason Nocito. He's wonderful.

Don't you just love free time?

I drew this today at work. Then I added splotches with photoshop. Enjoy!

Photobucket!

I went to photobucket.com to upload a picture into one of my albums when I noticed some
pictures. So click after click, I discovered rad art that I felt the urge to share. Enjoy!

City of Sound

I like looking at this.

Sawdust

The Killers' new album Sawdust is out and I've definitely been listening to it. Some of the songs on the CD have been out for years, but have never been released on a CD. I've already had these songs for years, but a lot of the songs are new, too. I love, love, love the song All the Pretty Faces. Why? It's catchy. Not even my usual catchy. But I enjoy it. I do still love their first album, Hot Fuss, the most. Sam's Town and Sawdust I think I like equally well. I really miss the sweet, romantic, I-miss-her Brandon Flowers, rather than the new cowboy-with-a-grudge thing he's been doing in Sam's Town and Sawdust. Maybe they'll do more Hot Fuss type things in their fourth album. . . hmm.

Alden told my about an amazing site where you get to pick out different graphic designs and order your very own sticker book of your favorite designs. I just ordered 90 different designs and am absolutely thrilled.

Fab!

I was thoroughly inspired by Butla's and her sister, Lizzy's, blog <pepperandmittens.blogspot.com>. If you haven't seen it already, you must. It's pretty much amazing. So now I'm starting my own art blog & this is it.

Today I found a fabulous Swedish artist by the name of Linn Olofsdotter.
Her website is <http://www.olofsdotter.com/>, so go & check out her stuff! It's so crazy/wonderful/cool.

So I'll start by posting one of the only pictures of my art works I have on my computer. Beatles = rad to the max.
